I'M DANIELLE

I'm Danielle, a working mom of two, and like most moms I know, I'm almost never in the photos. I photograph newborns, maternity, and families so that you can be in them: the way your toddler leans into you, the exhausted joy of a newborn's first week, the moments you'll actually want to remember later.

My camera roll is full of my kids: a daughter with a mind of her own, and a little boy who hasn't stopped moving since he learned to walk. What it's missing is me with them. The few photos that exist are blurry selfies, or me in yesterday's sweatshirt, half out of the frame. We're the ones who remember the sunscreen, plan the birthday, and hold the camera. Somewhere along the way, being in the picture started to feel optional.

It isn't. Someday your kids will want to see you: how you held them, how they fit on your hip. You deserve photos of yourself with your children that you actually love, not just the ones taken in pajamas. I move slowly and stay out of the way as much as I can, so you're in the moment instead of performing for the camera. And yes, I'll make sure you're in the frame.

My husband gave me my first camera years ago, back when we were living in Texas. I set it down for a while and picked it back up after my daughter was born, just to keep the everyday from slipping past unnoticed. Watching how fast my own kids change is still the best reminder I have for why this work matters.

Outside of photography, I'm probably microwaving the same cup of coffee for the third time, or winding down with a glass of red wine.

I'd love to spend an hour with your family and hand you back something you'll actually want to look at in ten years, with you right there in it.
